The tournament has slowed down a lot, and I've decided to reorganize it to make it move faster and remove inactive players. I'm hoping to get 15 of the original 20 players, but I'm probably going to have to get about 5 more people, you can sign up below. There will be 3 games. In each, there will be 5 players, 1 moderator(me), and 0 computers. Stats are same the small galaxy, 3 RAs, a few techs, etc. When each game gets down to 2 players surviving(if you hide a ship in a storm, or anything like that where you're essentially gone, you're considered eliminated), or 2 players who get past a certain point(like a score of 200000), will go to the final round game, same stats, 1 moderator(me), and 6 players(two from each game, remember? :-)).

There has been interest in continuing game two of the original tournament, removing the inactive players and just turning it into a game. I'm supporting it, and if enough other players do to, I'll select someone to run it and hand it over. I MIGHT even give an award to everyone who plays it for dedication.

Ok, I've decided to change the format for the second tournament. Now it will have 20 players in 4 first round games, and one final game. The games will have 5 human, 0 computer, and one moderator player(me). It will be played until 2 human players are left. The final round game will have 8 human players, and one moderator(me again). The moderator's purpose is to monitor the game, remove any inactive players to computers, and decide the winners when the game gets past 75 TURNS. This part is important, since I don't want the games to last a year. I'll arrange the games by the times that people check their mail(and if some players have ICQ, they will be put back to back) to make it move more efficiently. If you don't get the game within a half hour of the time you were supposed to recieve it, contact the moderator and everyone in the game. Anyone not sending in a response with the latest turn they have will be removed, and the game moves on.
