The Cerban Empire is located in the Ceran Galaxy. We are peaceful but very slow to trust. Our civilization is only a few millenia old but ours is the third to develop on our world. The first two destroyed themselves in a nuclear war. But the technology left behind sped up our development to a projected TWENTY TIMES what our normal development would have been. We too nearly destroyed ourselves, but soon the people became tired of fighting. Peace turned into a confederation of governments, and soon it became simpler to just have one.

Then our scientists discovered something terrible. The core bas beginning to explode, causing major earthquakes and eventually our world's destruction. To prevent panic among the general population, it was kept a government secret. We already had small colonies on our two moons, and were beginning to colonize another planet in our system. The government used an excuse of an age of expansion to move people and resources to the colonies. About a month before the planet was to explode, the government announced the real reason why everything was being sent to the colonies, and just as expected, there was panic. The commercial shuttles to the colonies were being packed with people trying to get away. When the planet blew 2 BILLION out of 10 didn't make it.

The governmen is now being run at a starbase at a hidden, and heavily guarded, location. Our economic system was swiched from a capitalist to capitalist/socalist economy. Food, clothing, housing, transportation, and communication are all free, given out by the government. Money is used for personal space transports, power, metal, businesses, ect..

It has been a hundred years since the Great Tragety. We have devoted the most resources to research. Not long ago we gained the ability of traveling 10 times the speed of light(it's possible and it was tested when a ship was escaping a black hole which greatly offsets it's actual top speed). We also have discovered several weapon types which will not be discussed about. We are now diverting funds to a mass colonization of other worlds. We did this after coming into contact with the Terran Empire and the Bremer Empire just to name a few. We realized that there could be empires just as big, and very hostile, so we decided that expansion was needed to create a better economy to protect against such races. After we finish the colonization we will build some defensive ships and try to find a way to put Cerbia(homeworld) back together.
